Intimate Summer Sailboat Wedding in Seattle
About This Summer Sailboat Wedding
M & H grew up sailing their whole lives and it felt right for them to get married on a sailboat! They wanted a wedding experience that was focused on them which is why they chose to elope and have a very intimate sailboat wedding with me as the photographer and officiant and our wonderful captain Demian of Latitude Yacht Charters!
They spent the morning getting ready in downtown Seattle before embarking to the marina. H got her hair and make up done by Anne Timms while M got ready. They shared a first look and shared a few intimate moments together.
I loved how H’s wedding dress was this beautiful light blue dress, another beautiful example that you do NOT need to wear white on your wedding dress! The beautiful details of their florals did a great way of capturing their whimsical vibe they were going for. Their florist New Floral Design nailed it!
We then drove over to Shilshole Marina where a 50 ft catamaran sailboat awaited us. These two shared lots of appetizers, champagne, and laughter as the sailboat cruised around the Seattle skyline. Afterwards, we drove back to Seward Park in Seattle so the couple could have photos with their last wedding guest, their beloved dog Sebastian!
I had such an incredible time exploring the Puget Sound and sailing around Seattle for their elopement, it was truly the perfect day!
All in all, the message is this: you don’t have to get married in a venue or even on top of a mountain. A sailboat will do and you’ll get to say that you said “I do” to your partner in the middle of the sea!
