About Your Mt Rainier Elopement Photographer

Hello! My name is Doug McCulloch, Founder and photographer for Sea to Summit Photography.

I’m an Mt Rainier Elopement Photographer and Mt Rainier wedding photographer based in Washington State. Although there are several National Parks in Washington for couples to elope in, Mt Rainier National Park is one of my favorite places for to have an elopement or intimate wedding. Mt Rainer is the famous mountain in Washington state and for good reason. Filled with gorgeous lakes, meadows, wildflowers blooming during the summer and a mountain view that will leave your jaws on the floor.

I grew up hiking around this area and finding all the secret gems that makes this location a perfect wedding and elopement spot!

Mt Rainier Elopement Location Ideas

Open year-round and found on the south entrance of Mt Rainier National Park, Paradise is a highly popular spots for Mt Rainier elopements and Mt Rainier weddings. Some easy, yet rewarding elopement spots include Grove of the Patriarchs, Reflection Lake, and Skyline trail.

Sunrise

Couple engagement session at Sunrise in Mt Rainier

Sunrise is unlike Paradise it’s only open during the July to September months. However, in this short window of time you will find the wildflowers blooming in full force in July and August. There are several amazing elopement spots in this area, reach out and let’s chat about some of my hidden and personal favorite spots.

Chinook Pass

Chinook Pass can be found near Enumclaw, making this area of the park a bit easier to access. You’ll be rewarded by a stunning drive into the park and will be able to enjoy part of the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) which shares this area with the park. Some favorite elopement spots include Naches Peak Loop trail and Tipsoo Lake Loop trail. This area does become very crowded so I recommend a sunset weekday elopement!
