Intimate Arboretum Wedding in Seattle

About This Intimate Spring Wedding at the Seattle Arboretum

O & T flew all the way from Chicago, Illinois to have an intimate wedding at the UW Arboretum in Seattle. Most of their families live in Washington, so they chose an area that was close to town, beautiful, and accessible for their friends and family to access.

Some of the famous UW cherry blossoms began to make their apperance on their wedding day and we met underneath two beautiful cherry blossom trees for their first look.

We then found a private nook surrounded by trees for them to do their wedding ceremony. They shared some laughs, tears, and so many beautiful moments. They exited their ceremony spot by having their guests blow bubbles!

After exploring the arboretum a bit more, we went to the pergola to have a small picnic where they shared some sandwiches and cake. It was a lovely day with the sweetest couple!

Kind Words From The Couple

Doug was our photographer for our elopement style, outdoor wedding set in march. He not only scouted the area to find the best locations for us, but helped us form the best wedding we could ask for such as guiding us through developing an itinerary. He made sure that no matter the weather we would have a great time without hiccups. Doug was very responsive, easy to work with, and easy to reach. The photos are incredible, and truly unique. He took our personal preferences very seriously, and made the whole experience stress free. In going with Sea to Summit you’re paying for more than just a photographer. We couldn’t recommend this business enough.

Best Arboretum Wedding Venues in Seattle

If you're looking for the best arboretum wedding venues in Seattle, the Washington Park Arboretum is a top choice offering beautiful garden settings with indoor and outdoor options.

  1. Wisteria Hall at Washington Park Arboretum
Wisteria Hall has a lovely indoor space with access to two outdoor terraces. You can have your ceremony outdoors on the patio under a wisteria-laden trellis and host the reception indoors or on the patio.

  2. UW Center for Urban Horticulture
Another excellent option within the arboretum area, the Center for Urban Horticulture offers multiple indoor and outdoor spaces, including a greenhouse filled with natural light and an enclosed outdoor meadow. It allows for both ceremonies and receptions with capacities up to 200 guests, and it includes amenities like a full kitchen and changing rooms.

  3. Additional Garden Venues in Seattle
While not directly in the arboretum, Seattle has other dreamy garden venues worth considering, such as The Greenhouse at Almquist Winery (Queen Anne), which offers a beautiful glass greenhouse perfect for smaller weddings, and Chateau Lil in Woodinville with sprawling gardens and elegant architecture.
