About This Hurricane Ridge Elopement
M & D's elopement at Olympic National Park was nothing short of spectacular! They wanted both spectacular mountain views and a chance to spend it on a lake on a canoe so we set out to do just that! We met around the Hurricane Ridge area for sunrise. Although the weather was clear below the mountain, as soon as we got to the top, all of the mountains were shy from view, but resulted in a more dreamy and moody landscape.
M did her own hair and make up with the assistant of her partner before doing a first look! There were a lot of guests during their elopement (in the form of deer!) but had the rest of the mountain to themselves. They said their vows up in the clouds, did a hand-fasting ceremony and once the knot was officially tied, they went back to the car to sign and make it official before heading back up for a sunrise picnic.
Afterwards, we drove down the mountain where they had a break before meeting up at their cabin for a second getting ready moment before their next adventure on Lake Crescent. The rest of the day was beautiful but some strong winds and waves made canoeing not as a relaxing of an adventure as we'd hoped.
Nevertheless these two had such an incredible attitude and were all smiles. They had dinner at a nearby lodge by the lake before going back to the lake for some sunset photos. As the sun went all the way down, we grabbed our lanterns and string lights to finish out their day.
It was quite an adventurous and magical day and am so thankful to have been a part of their wedding experience! Congratulations again, M & D!
