Surprise Engagement on the Washington Coast

About This Surprise Engagement on the WA Coast

This couple travelled all the way from the east coast to explore the Washington Coast for a trip together. For Christmas, this couple’s sister gifted them a “couples session”, but both the sister, Harry and I knew it was more than just a regular photoshoot!

Without Piper knowing, we planned how Harry was going to propose. We met at the trailhead in Olympic National Park where we took some photos leading down to the beach.

Once at the perfect proposal spot, Harry got down on one knee, completely surprising Piper and we got the perfect moment when she said yes!

We explored the beach, found lots of wildlife including one very sleepy sea otter and lots of starfish. Needless to say it was such a special day! I am so thankful for their trust on their day!

Kind Words From The Couple

Doug coordinated and planned a perfect surprise proposal with my (now) fiancé! He was extremely patient (as my fiancé is DEFINITELY hard to photograph) and made the shoot so fun! The sneak peak photos he has sent us (within 24 hours btw!!!) are so beautiful and we cannot wait to see the rest! Definitely recommend booking with Sea to Summit Photography! Thanks again, Doug!

Why You Should Hire a Surprise Engagement Photographer

A surprise engagement only happens once. And the look on your partner's face in that exact moment: the shock, the tears, the laugh, the immediate yes is something you cannot recreate, restage, or get back if it isn't captured.

Hiring a surprise engagement photographer means someone who knows how to blend into the environment is already in position before your partner has any idea what's about to happen.

I've photographed many surprise proposals across all of Washington and you can trust that I’ll catch that shot and moment for you.
