About This Surprise Proposal and Engagement at Deception Pass
C contacted me earlier in the year, looking to propose to his girlfriend, M. She lives in Arizona and was planning on visiting in early spring. C’s dream was to propose on a beach that was close to Seattle but in a beautiful location. I recommended Deception Pass as neither of them had been there before.
They spent the morning looking at the tulip fields in Mount Vernon, exploring La Conner before driving up through Anacortes and into Deception Pass State Park for sunset. Our initial beach location C chose was a bit ruined by a washout and high tide but we found another location by the water that worked. C was so excited he forgot to turn sideways for me to capture her reaction, but the magic was there!
We explored the rest of my favorite state park, watched the sunset, and witnessed so many beautiful moments. This was truly one of the sweetest surprise proposals I’ve gotten a chance to capture. Congratulations C & M!
