Your Seattle Elopement Guide

About Seattle Elopements

The rainy city as most outsiders know it, Seattle is one of the most beautiful cities to elope in! Whether you want to say your vows across the Puget Sound on a ferry boat ride, or find a beautiful historic downtown building to say “I do “ at, or elope at one of Seattle’s most beautiful parks, overlooking the Olympic mountains or Mt Rainier, Seattle had a perfect elopement location for everyone! Contrary to the gloomy mood most movies make Seattle to be, it is absolutely stunning! Cherry blossoms in the spring, clear blue skies in the summer, and vibrant colors in the fall, makes Seattle a great year-round elopement destination.

When Should you Elope in Seattle

To avoid the rain, the best time to elope in Seattle is between early July and mid September. Late summer to early fall you could find wild flowers in Mt Rainier and along Mt Baker. If you love lavender, you could find a lavender field late July to early August. If you want a moody elopement and rain, consider eloping in the fall and early winter. Mid winter is great if you’d like a snowy, winter elopement in places like Snoqualmie, Lake Wenatchee, and Gold Creek Pond!

Seattle Elopement Permits

As your Seattle elopement photographer, I will make sure that the location where you want your elopement to be has the appropriate permits so you have one less thing to stress about! Though city parks do not need a parking permit, some local state parks such as deception pass require a Discover Pass. You can purchase those in the park for the day there, or can opt in to purchase one for the year.

You will have to make sure you apply for your marriage license on your own, however. As always, I am always happy to help offer guidance with anything, simply reach out and ask away!
